Experienced Supervisor wanted in South East QLD – steady civil work, tight crew, real responsibility

Lead crews on civil projects across Brisbane and surrounds. Hands-on role, proper systems, safety first, no nonsense.

You’re the one everyone looks to on site to make the call, keep the job moving, and keep people safe. Maybe you’re sick of disorganised jobs, poor planning, gear that’s not ready, and bosses who only show up when something goes wrong. You’ll run your own sites, lead a crew, jump on the machines when needed, and go home knowing the job was done right. WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Supervise AGS Civil crews across multiple sites and work fronts.

• Plan daily works, run pre-starts, and give clear instructions to your team.

• Coordinate materials, plant and subcontractors so jobs run on time and on budget.

• Maintain a strong safety culture on site and make sure procedures are followed.

• Complete daily diaries, allocations, inspections and basic paperwork to track progress and costs.

• Communicate with clients on site and provide regular feedback to AGS Civil management.

• Operate plant when required while still keeping control of the job.

WHAT YOU WILL GET

• Pay: $145k–$150k salary + company car + bonus (night shift allowance if required to work the odd night).

• Employment type and hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 11-hour days.

• Consistent civil work across Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, Beaudesert and South East QLD – not just short-term gigs.

• Clear expectations and KPIs, with feedback that actually helps you improve.

• Training and development opportunities in supervision, estimating and project management, including Cert IV in Leadership/Management.

WHO THIS IS FOR

• You hold Civil Supervision certification and have at least 3 years’ experience leading teams on civil jobs.

• You’re confident running pre-starts, organising a crew, and planning the day while still jumping on the machine when needed.

• You’re punctual (you’re the type who arrives 30 minutes before shift, not 5 minutes after).

• You care about safety, quality and doing the job once, the right way.

• You can communicate clearly with clients, crew and management – in person and in writing.

• If you often run late, hate paperwork, or cut corners on safety, this is not the role for you.

MANDATORY LICENCES / TICKETS

• Current open driver’s licence (HC desirable).

• Relevant operator skills and Machine RII’s.

• Proven ability to lead a civil crew.
